‘C’ Connection

UPDATE #10 – 4.1.20

Fellow Weifielders,

Another day as an essential business…  I pray things are well for you, your family, and friends.  We had another Q&A session with management and we had 65 participates.  It is great having so many people participate in hearing, sharing, and learning about how we can live our values and take care of our employees.  We will be updating the FAQ’s and getting them out to everyone.

Best news I heard today was no employees have tested positive for COVID-19.  Congrats on keeping everyone healthy and thank you for continuing to do the right thing.

Bad news is we still have job sites that are not taking all the right measures.  We will be working with the management and upper management to try to get things to improve.  The great news I heard from this is even though the site might be lacking, I am hearing our Field Supervisors take the lead in creating ways of keeping our people safe.

With the delays on projects and the reduced spending on other projects, we had to go through our first round of reductions in Colorado.  We did this through doing furloughs, since we have a couple projects that will start immediately if we are successful.  This will get our teammates back to work.  Furloughs, for those of you who don’t know, are different than a layoff as the employees will keep all benefits running during the time away and they will be able to collect unemployment.  From my understanding some of the people are already working again.

Our leadership and departments are doing everything we can to mitigate this ever changing environment and there will be some ups and downs along the way.  We have been blessed with great people, great clients, and teamwork.  It will take all of us working together to keep us moving in the right direction.

Please look on the Weifield Weekly for updates as we have a new program put in place to help out our people who might not be doing so well financially.  A BIG thank you to our team in getting this set up for us in the time of need.

Keep safe, keep healthy, keep positive, keep up the prayers!
