BUSINESS OUTLOOK & COMPANY HEALTH UPDATE
UPDATE #19 – 4.14.20
Tonight I am going to mix things up and talk about the bad news. Weifield now has five confirmed positive cases (3 in CO and 2 in TX). In our task force today, we came out with direction to help job sites segregate people and limit that interaction between multiple projects. We find many companies move people between projects, and we are doing the same. Our FAQ sheet has been updated with the new direction and is provided in the link below.
First and foremost, we must protect our people and keep them safe. Site outbreaks not only put our people in harm’s way, but it also shuts down the projects. The extended stay at home orders in Austin, require all construction personnel to wear masks. I believe we are doing well wearing masks and other PPE, but please make sure to follow all the rules and even go up and beyond to be safe (I can’t say enough!).
On the positive side of things, HP Operation Manager is giving WGC raving reviews of the work at the Colorado Convention Center. If you have time tonight, Google “Colorado convention center hospital” and look at some of the news and videos. Let’s cheer our team on!
I want to give another shout out to the fantastic people who are donating masks to Weifield Group. All they are asking in return is that any payment we would like to be donated instead. These are amazing people who are being very generous with their time and material resources. We are grateful to live and work in communities with these people.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who has contributed time and resources to help each other out. We have a long way to go to get out of the woods, and teamwork is what will get us to the finish line.
There is a State of the Company Address tomorrow for everyone who has a weifieldgroup.com email address. Please look for the invite with the Zoom meeting in it. If you do not have a Weifieldgroup.com email address, please talk with your supervisor on Thursday to see what we covered.
Keep your head up (with face coverings), be safe, keep your head in the game; keep us moving forward!
