Warehouse Clerk

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Location: Centennial, CO

General Job Description

The warehouse clerk is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including primary duties of shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment, managing delivery schedule and drivers and maintaining records for warehouse inventory.

Specific Job Requirements

>Tool staging, shipping and receiving – organizing outgoing tools for drivers and ensuring they get on the truck and to the proper delivery location

>Manage inventory, shipping and receiving – when trucks come back determine what to do with items off trucks that are returned from jobsite or extras; managing waste and reuse of items

>Mark materials, label bins, and identify warehouse stock.

>Manage the yard – Utilize warehouse forklift to organize and manage yard materials and equipment

>Identify damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in warehouse

>Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize inventory procedure

>Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping and receiving materials, tools and equipment

>Physical tasks require capability of lifting up to 50lbs

>Ensures accuracy of orders and prepares records of materials received and shipped for individual projects and general orders

>Accountable for the drivers and delivery schedule – work with drivers to maintain their schedule and update schedule as needed; ensure they are timely with delivery and help load trucks to get them going

>Comply with OSHA, Department of Transportation and the Weifield Safety Program

Qualifications/Skills Required

>1 to 2 years warehouse experience.

>Possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

>Possess excellent documentation and oral communication skills.

>Candidate should have a basic understanding of shipping and receiving.

>Candidate must be able to mobilize electrical equipment

>Possess entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.

>Must be intrinsically motivated, detail oriented and not accept second-best.

>Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse, dynamic and fast-paced environment.

>Candidate must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in Weifield’s business strategies.

>Candidate must possess clean DMV record for use of company flatbed truck.

>Forklift certification preferred, but not required

>Computer skills a must

Reporting

The warehouse clerk reports to the Prefabrication Shop Manager, working closely with the Purchasing Manager and Tool & Equipment Manager.

Supervisory Requirements

The warehouse clerk will direct 2 warehouse drivers.

Compensation Package

Start Date: TBD

Status: Full-time

Pay Rate: $17-22 per hour

Employee Health Insurance: 100% of the medical “Base Plan” paid by WGC 1st of the month following date of hire

Voluntary Dental/Vision Insurance: Paid by employee based on coverage selection 1st of the month following date of hire

Disability & Accident Insurance: Paid by employee based on coverage selection 1st of the month following date of hire

Life Insurance: Paid by company at rate of $50,000 policy, 1st of the month following date of hire

401(k)/Safe Harbor: Participate after 60 days. Weifield matches 100% of investment up to 4% of pay after one year of continuous employment

EAP: Provided by Mines and Associates on behalf of Weifield Group

PTO: 10 days annually, accrual begins upon hire date. First year accrual is prorated based on hire date and may not accrue the full 10 days in year one.

Paid Holidays: 7 paid holidays per year

Cell Phone Allowance: $75/Month

Working Hours: M-F 6:00am – 2:30pm.  Position may require night time, weekend, holiday, and overtime work.
