General Job Description

Develops, modifies and/or reviews drawings of systems or components, according to established standards using Autodesk Revit and reports to the VDC Manager.

Job Specific Responsibilities


Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling and design support to the Field Support Staff and Field Staff during the planning, design, and construction phases for all project types.




Creation of detailed drawings for the field’s installation

Trimble Point Creation and Layout drawings

Create Revit families and/or AutoCAD blocks

Understand and follow company drafting standards

Provide feedback on department process’

Create checklists for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines

Communicate clearly for tasks given to other team members

Uphold the company’s core values, PACT


Qualifications / Skills Required


Associate/Bachelor/Technical degree in an ASMEP / Infrastructure modeling environment is required

At least 3 years of industry experience in modeling AEC building systems

General knowledge of Commercial/Industrial Electrical system a plus

Working knowledge of BIM software applications including MicroStation, Revit, AutoCAD, CadWorks, MEP, Navisworks, BIM360, and other software

Coordinate with other trades and General Contractor to best solve design solutions under Project supervision.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to problem solve

Possess quantitative and analytical skills

Possess basic understanding of the BIM industry

Motivated, detail oriented and not accept second best

Must work well in a project team environment, as well as have the capacity to conduct work with minimal supervision and oversight

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, consultants, management, owners, and employees

Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy


Physical Demands


Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.

Lifting 51 to 150 lbs. with help as required.

Carry tools and materials up to 100 lbs. up to 400 feet.

Candidate must be able to gain access to construction work areas via ladders and stairs safely.

Working Conditions


Job requires working 8-10 hours daily up to 5-6 days a week.

Wear personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, earplugs and respirators).

Respond to short notice overtime requirements.

Ability to work at job sites or office when required.

Compensation Package

Status:                                                                           Full-time

Pay Rate:       $74K – $90K

Car Allowance or Company Vehicle:       No

Cell Phone Allowance:               $150.00/Month

Employee & Family Health Insurance:   100% of the Family medical “Base Plan” paid by WGC 1st of the month following date of hire

Voluntary Dental/Vision Insurance:       Paid by employee based on coverage selection 1st of the month following date of hire

Disability & Accident Insurance:              Paid by employee based on coverage selection 1st of the month following date of hire

Life Insurance:             Paid by company at rate of $50,000 policy, 1st of the month following date of hire

EAP:                Provided by Mines and Associates on behalf of Weifield Group

PTO:               Accrual is based on tenure and role

Paid Holidays:               Seven paid holidays per year.

401k/Safe Harbor:      Participate after 60 days. Weifield matches 100% of investment up to 4% after one year of consistent employment.
